I understand that it is my responsibility as the customer to fully read and understand all the terms of service that are posted on this website and that failure to do so will not result in a forgiveness of any of The Letter Carrier's fees. Any agreement that deviates from the written terms of service and policies will not be honored unless they are obtained in writing. Employees do not have the authority to deviate from these policies.
I understand that it is my responsibility as the customer to obtain the tracking number for my package and track its arrival at The Letter Carrier. The email and phone notification service is a free automated courtesy service. Lack of notification does not excuse pickup and/or storage fees.
I understand that it is my responsibility to pick up the packages received by The Letter Carrier within 2 weeks of their arrival. Failure to do so will result in weekly storage fees being added. Furthermore I understand that The Letter Carrier will not forgive fees due to expired passports work schedules or any other reason that is due to the customers choices or under the customers control.
I understand that it is my responsibility to track my package before I call to ensure it's arrival The Letter Carrier and it's employees are not responsible to check the status of my tracking number.
I understand that it is my responsibility as the customer to ensure my packages are properly prepared by the company I ordered from. The Letter Carrier is not responsible for any errors (whether it be your name phone number the merchandise and or the condition of the merchandise) by the shipping company or the courier/carrier that they choose to transport my package.
I understand that The Letter Carrier will not return packages to the shipper due to my unwillingness to pay either the pickup and/or the storage fees. My refusal to pay will result in the package being seized and sold to recover The Letter Carrier's unpaid fees.
I understand that if I send someone else to pickup my package that I must provide them with either a copy of my Id and/or the tracking number. Failure to do so may result in my package not being given to the person I send.
I understand that although packages can be looked up and picked up by name only that I should always bring my tracking number with me to ensure that The Letter Carrier can locate my package. Name lookup is a courtesy only that may work most of the time but there is no service failure based on name lookup.
I understand that packages must be processed before they are available for pickup and that packages depending on volume may not be processed the same day they arrive. Furthermore I understand that my package will not be looked for in the unprocessed deliveries due to the delay this will create in completing the daily processing.
I understand that packages delivered on Saturday will never be processed that day. Saturday deliveries will not be available until 10:30 am the next business day. No exceptions.
I understand that US Postal Service delivery confirmation only confirms that a package has arrived at the Post Office. It does not guarantee that final delivery has been made or that the delivery was made to the proper address. Mistakes do happen and are hard to determine due to the fact the US Postal deliveries do not get scanned at our facility upon delivery by the Postal Service. The Letter Carrier does not accept responsibility for nor do we guarantee the accuracy of the US Postal service.
I understand that a larger number of companies are using the UPS Surepost and FedEx Smartpost service. This means that packages shipped via either of those carriers are being delivered to the Post Office for final delivery. As such they are not delivered to our facility the day of delivery. They are usually delivered to us 1 to 3 days later. Furthermore I understand that it is my responsibility as the customer to determine if my UPS or FedEx tracking number is a regular delivery or a Surepost/Smartpost delivery.
